Find Kind was born in a 5th grade classroom.

In 5th-grade, Find Kind’s founder, Bella DeArmitt, was introduced to the concept of privilege through a classroom conversation about international resource disparities. Fueled by a newfound passion for giving back, Bella tried to find volunteer opportunities. Due to her young age, she was able to find any formal volunteer opportunities.

So Bella turned to organizing. What started as bake sales to college students (pictured) grew into student-run and student-led fundraising efforts. Upon her college graduation, Bella’s collective efforts raised nearly $20,000 for kind, causes.

Immediately following her college graduation in 2022, Bella began posting online about “kindness.” Find Kind’s online following grew exponentially in the first few years and Find Kind became a dependable local resource to find kind jobs, events, and opportunities to give back in alignment with today’s world and the people’s passions.

Today, Find Kind works with student changemakers and alongside nonprofit professionals. We offer accessible educational programming, host volunteer events, and provide support to growing nonprofit leaders in need of systems.
